Had a great visit with Gabrielle Strand from the Americorps Program (more information on the *Links and Information Page*).
If you haven't heard of it or signed up, now is the time! For 300 hours of service that you are doing through the school, you can receive a fixed sum for expenses, student loans, etc. related to school costs. Just ensure that you keep up your monthly reporting of service hours, mobilize 5 volunteers and write up some short experiences to share with the program. You can count up to 60 hours of your 300 as class time (Training for Service), *exceptions for service include Fundraising activities - they cannot be counted towards Americorps Volunteer time.*
If you have any questions, please contact the SUU Program Coordinator: firstname.lastname@example.org
